Everyone wants to grow their business, but there is a four letter word that always gets in the way, and that word is LIFE.

Life is what happens regardless of the size of your business. Life is those 50 things you do on a daily basis to keep things status quo. They range from taking care of kids, to walking the dog. Getting in a morning run, to showering before laundry takes all the hot water away.

So, if someone wants to grow their business, how can they expect to get anywhere with life always getting in the way?

I would love to say it will be a simple endeavor, but just like anything else, you must make time for growth. Just like a person wanting to get in shape must make time for the gym. A person who wants to be in a relationship with that new guy or gal must make time to court them. The simple truth is, we will never just have time… so you almost have to FORCE your business to grow.

Here are a few things you can do to help kick off that growth:

Make a list of what you are doing to keep your business where it is. I don’t care if it is 5 things a week or 20 tasks a day, get it all down on paper.

Figure out how much it will cost to outsource your mundane tasks. Entrepreneurs have trouble giving up power. The point here is to free up time, not to just turn into a micro-manager. Trust me… a lot of that crap isn’t as important as you think.

Focus on making enough new revenue to cover your outsource tasks. If it will only cost $1,000 a month to free up 20 hours a week, great! Now, let’s put a plan in place to get that new $1,000 in revenue.

Buy a Smartr app for your business so you can turn your current and future clients into sales ambassadors and referral partners.

Work on gaining new customers until your outsourcing is paid, your app investment is paid for, then spend more time doing the things that matter.

Life will always get in the way, but you have the freedom to take charge. There are smartr (see what I did there) ways of growing your business. Now all you need to do is take advantage of them.
